The Society of Social Studies of Science and Technology organized its first annual STS-Ecuador meeting entitled «Thinking about the relationship between Science, Technology and Society in Ecuador.”
The meeting invited international speakers: Noela Invernizi (president of ESOCITE), Rigas Arvanitis (research director of the Institut de Recherche pour le développement) and Rosalba Casas (expert in public policies on science, technology and innovation).
The objective of this first meeting of STS studies in Ecuador was to create a space for exchange and dialogue that allows socializing the research developed by the STS academics of the country, finding points of convergence and divergence between the research lines, and contribute to the creation of an open and long-term academic debate.
